The very step is to create a decentralized wallet for the the chain your wish to work with, so that you would be able to interact with decentralized apps and platforms. Major on-chain wallet apps are:
Ethereum: Metamask
Solana: Phantom, Solflare, Jupiter Wallet
Bitcoin: Exaverse Wallet
Phantom would be highly recommended since it is multi-chain as well.
